Ebay - November 30th

Lately, I've been clearing out stuff that I don't need. So far I've sold a little over $200 on ebay. This will continue until I feel like I've gotten rid of everything I no longer want or need. It's fun too! It's also nice to get a little extra $$ since I'm still looking for a job.

Kitty in Christmas Tree - November 29th

Looks like having a Christmas tree is going to be very interesting (fun?) this year.

Black Friday - November 27th

Well, I'm not one of the crazy people that goes shopping at 4am. But, I did go to Target this morning for some good deals. I've decided that there is no deal good enough to make me get up that early in the morning. I got almost everything I needed in one morning. Yay!

Bowling - November 24th

Has anyone ever noticed how bowling can be an expensive night out?  Rental Shoes = $4.80!  Plus, $4.80 per game!  I know it's not that much $$ in the grand scheme of things, but if you have a family multiply that by 4 for shoes and 2 games each.  That's right, you are looking at almost $60 and that doesn't include the snacks/drinks. Crazy!

Sweet Ginger - November 23rd

Ginger finally has a permanent home.  Hallie and I drove her up to Fairmount, GA and dropped her off with a very sweet lady who is going to be her new mom.  She'll be a great place, but we will miss her.

New Moon - November 21st

I've been waiting a long time for this one...New Moon.  It was my least favorite of the Twilight books, but I think I may have liked the movie better than the book.

Kriek - November 20th

Tonight Mayda, Phyllis and I went to one of our new favorite pizza joints - Grant Central East in East Atlanta.  Phyllis and I are both huge fans of Mellow Mushroom, but this is running a close 2nd.  Afterwards, we went to another one of our favorite places, Brickstore for some Kriek.  Kriek is a Belgian Cherry Lambic beer.

Kitty to be named later - November 19th

This is the newest official member of the family.  The black kitty will not come until Saturday.  I can already tell this little guy is going to be a nut.

On 11/22, he was officially named JJ.  He is named for Jimmie Johnson because he likes to run around in circles FAST!  He's also Dy-no-mite!

A New Family Member? - November 18th

Last night I went to see this kitty who is currently being held in a foster home with his 3 brothers.  He looks a lot like my Henley, but different too.  Some say I shouldn't get another black kitty, because he is too much like Henley.  Others, say Yes do it.  I have decided "Yes" because I think black cats are gorgeous and they have a hard time finding them homes (because so many people think they are bad luck).

Porter Beer Bar - November 12th

Tonight, Hallie, Phyllis and I went out for November's new restaurant night. We had been hearing a lot about this new place down in Little 5 called The Porter Beer Bar. It reminded us quite a bit of the Brickstore in Decatur. It is very similar to an old English pub...lots of beer choices. The food was good too. If you go, you must try the Salt & Vinegar Popcorn. But be careful, if you breathe while eating, it will definitely make you cough a little.

De-cluttering - November 17th

The first step in de-cluttering was to organize all my scrapbooking stuff which I never use anymore and get it for sale.  I think I have an offer for someone to take it all.

My New Hoodie - November 16th

I love my new Alabama hoodie - thanks John!  I'm somehow convinced this is going to be a lucky charm for me.  We'll see.

Where am I and where do I go from here? - November 15th

Phyllis and I went to Carlton, GA (I had never heard of it before either) for some Orienteering.  She had been wanting to do this for quite some time and finally talked me into it.  It was a lot of fun.  Basically, we were given a map with points that we needed to find, in order.  Using the compass and the map, we were able to find all 7 points.  The park was very pretty with the colors on the trees.  I guess I should have mentioned that this was wandering through the woods!

New Kitty? - November 14th

I knew that I would eventually get another kitty.  So, this morning I went to Good Mews in Marietta, but didn't see any that I felt connected.  So, on the way home I stopped by adoption day at Petsmart and saw this little guy.  His foster mom tells me that he is a snuggle kitty (which I want).  So, I'm probably going to end up getting him next weekend.  His name now is Orson, but I will end up changing it.

Friday the 13th - November 13th

Friday the 13th always reminds me of being about 10 years old and having my brother take me to see the movie Friday the 13th.  That may seem young, but I loved it.  I always thought it was cool to have older brothers who could take me to do stuff.

Today I went to the Botanical Gardens with Meredith and Jen.  It was a perfect 70 degree and sunny morning.

Later I went to the Thrashers game and saw the most interesting person (yes the guy with the bandana over his face).  He decided to be the Thrashers cowboy for the evening.  The bandana never came off....very funny.  And, he did ring the cowbell quite often since the Thrashers won 7-0!

Veterans Day - November 11th

Today across the U.S., we honor those men, women & canines (yes, dogs serve too!) that have devoted their lives to protecting our freedoms. I believe that serving your country is the most honorable career/job that any one person can do. I am very thankful for all the people that have protected our freedoms in the past and are doing it now. I'm very honored to be a part of a family that has some of these military men. They are as follows:

Robert Williams (dad) -- PFC United States Army

Leland Williams (uncle) -- Sergeant First Class United States Army, served in the Vietnam & Korean War

Roger Williams (uncle) -- Major United States Army, retired Lieutenant Colonel U.S. Army Reserves, served in the Vietnam War

Carl Morton (stepdad) -- Sergeant First Class United States Air Force

Todd Williams (cousin) -- First Lieutenant United States Army, served in the Panama Invasion and Gulf War

and the latest family member to serve our country...

Robert ("Robbie") Williams (nephew) -- Lance Corporal United States Marine Corps

Happy Birthday Marines - November 10th

Today marks the 234th birthday of the United States Marine Corps. I'm very proud to say my nephew, Robbie, is one of them.

Super Target - November 9th

You can tell I've had an uneventful last few days. Today I took one of my 3 trips a week to one of my favorite stores, Super Target!

Everything Apple - November 8th

Well it all started with the iPod several years ago. This year I went a little deeper into Apple territory with my iPhone and then a little more with my MacBook. I even bought Apple stock. Yes, I have turned into one of those Apple stobs. I love everything about Apple!

Georgia Tech Football - November 7th

Spent the afternoon with Linda at the Ga Tech / Wake Forest football game. It was quite an exciting game. It was tied at the end of regulation, but GT won it in Overtime. I had plans to watch the Alabama / LSU game when I got home. It was at the same time so I had recorded it. The trick was to get through the whole game without hearing the score. Believe it or not, I did! But, then someone (I won't mention who to protect their identity -- but YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE) spilled the beans via a text message that was intended for someone else. I will eventually forgive him :-).

Ryan & Katelyn -- November 6th

Tonight I had dinner with Steph and the kids. If I were putting people on my favorites list, then Ryan & Katelyn would definitely make the list. I have several friends with really sweet kids and they are two of them. It's always a fun time when I see them -- I just don't see them enough.

Missing Bella & Edward -- November 5th

I am missing the Twilight books, so I decided to give the Sookie Stackhouse series a try.

Also, you'll notice my "Lightwedge" inside the book. This is definitely one of my favorite things. It's the coolest book light ever! It lights up the whole page unlike the clip on kind that casts more shadows than actual light. They have several different versions for paperback and the larger hardback books.

Blankets Creek - November 4

This morning I spent it at Blankets Creek mountain biking trails in Woodstock. These are some of the best trails close to the city. There are some great ones up in the mountains, but you can't beat these for how close they are Atlanta.

Kodak Friends - November 3rd

Today I had lunch with friend and former co-worker, Angie. Later, I had dinner with Kristin who is also a friend that I met at Kodak. It just got me to thinking about all the people in my life that came to me through Kodak. Some of you don't even know that you are connected to me that way....like Jen, Hallie, Phyllis & Mayda. I may not be working at Kodak any longer, but I still have many friendships from there that will hopefully last a lifetime. Many people tell me that is something special that doesn't happen at many workplaces. Maybe it does, maybe it doesn't...I'm not really sure. But, I do know that I'm very grateful for the friends Kodak has given me.

Fall Back - November 1st

The afternoon was spent enjoying some of the fall colors at Amicalola State Park.
