I can recall numerous nights as a kid where my mom & dad would play cards with the Elledges and Johnsons. They would take turns every weekend on who was the host. Fortunately, there were always at least Tommy there to hang with while the adults played cards. I can also remember summer days in our pools and picking peas in Ilene's garden. I remember Ilene was the first adult to ever let me have a "cup of coffee".
Ilene's kids threw her a surprise 80th birthday party this afternoon. Mom, Carl and I were there to help her celebrate. Happy 80th birthday Ilene!
