The Help has been one of my favorite books read this year. Tonight at PRUMC, Kathryn Stockett came as a guest speaker. Whether you've read the book or not, you would have enjoyed this spunky southern girl. The hit of the evening was when she was asked about the naming of the book. After being rejected 62 times for the publishing of this book, she declared (in church), "that she didn't give a rat's ass what they named it". The completely sold out sanctuary burst into laughter. She spoke briefly of the upcoming movie (which I can't wait to see) and a new book (which I can't wait to read).
